Profound apology. I mixed up the names of the two adjacent front-view rooms (Room No 5 & 8 ) on the first floor. Thanks for pointing out.

Hi Arup Da, I forgot the best view rooms you suggested me!! We have 3 rooms. So should I choose 5, 6, 8?

Also, one more thing I forgot to note down last time is, at Murti my preference should be WBFDC Murti (Banani) right? Only they can guarantee the safari permits?

I got confused between WBFDC Murti or WBTDCL Murti. I don't mind the accommodation much, but I don't want to run to Lataguri NIC for the permits.

Suparana , two rooms on the first floor ( Room No 5 (Kingfisher) & 8 (Hornbill ) have excellent views. Try to get at least one of them. You can enjoy wildlife movements from your room

Both WBFDC Banani & WBTDC Murti can arrange safari permits to Gorumara / Chapramari for their guests. So you may book rooms at anyone of these two resorts.

Suparna,

You may book any of them WBFDC Banani & WBTDC Murti but just before I was stayed on 2 night WBTDC Murti, its really very nice but I will suggest WBFDC Banani because of Location. WBFDC Banani is just beside the Murti River.

Awesome pictures and description Arup Da...as usual. You refreshed my memory of my stay in Hollong about 7-8yrs back. I was so mesmerized and excited by the experience there that I totally forgot to take pictures of the interior of Hollong Bungalow which is equally beautiful and cozy. Do you have some more pictures of the rooms you stayed in? It will be nice if you can share those

Not only the unbearable heat & crazy humidity of Kolkta , we also escaped the heat of ongoing Assembly Election in West Bengal . No doubt Bengalis have a natural passion for politics ( please include my name also in the list) . Anyway, we are not here to discuss politics or the fate of Bengal in this thread. But thanks a ton to Hollong that helped me to detach myself from this unearthly heat & tension for about five days. Here is a photologue from Jaldapara ..

Hi Arup,

I hope you remember me. This is Arunava from Kolkata. As you know that last year I was stay in Hollong Forest Bungalow for 2 days. I was booked this property through wbtdcl.com but now when I open it for once again booking then here no option for Hollong. If you check then you also see that only one option is showing (Jaldapara Tourist Lodge).

So if have you any information about Hollong booking then please inform me. I also check West Bengal Forest department web portal (wbfdc.com) but also not found.

Awaiting for your reply. Have a wonderful day ahead !!

I'm just back (today morning) from Dooars. Thanks a lot to everyone for each and every points and tips.

A special thanks to Arup Da for detailed informations

I'll defintiely come up with a TR within some weeks. It might take some time due to my current job timings.

Regarding Hollong, they are withdrawing themselves from WBTDCL, due to various issues (overbooking seemed to be a main issue according to the caretaker cum manager) and thus it's not showing up anymore in WBTDCL. It'd be moved under WBFDC instead. Elephant Safaris too would now needed to be booked online while booking Hollong.

Also, as per norms of WBFDC, the booking window will be opened 3 months in advance instead of 6 months in WBTDCL.
