hi,

you can call Subhash Guide. He has two new Gypsies. He will also give you good experienced Guides.

His number is 080552 57451

Or you can call Nirav rawal .. He is Gypsy owner and he stays at Chandrapur. His number is 9850453078

For any other help you can contact me any time. I have been to Tadoba 10 times.

Gypsy Charges are approx Rs 3000 per trip that includes Gypsy charges 2000 plus Guide and Driver charges and Jungle charges by Forest department. All Gypsywalas take same charges.

Thank you so much Nitin! That was very helpful!

Also, could you let me know any contact for picking us up from Nagpur Station and drop at Mohurli gate? We might need a SUV like something. Also, how much are the approximate charges?

Regards
Abhijeet

HI,

You can talk to Ravi Bhange.. He will give you his new Tavera.. Or Innova if you want.
Tavera is Rs 10/- per kilometre.

Ravis number is
91585 41148
80557 30554

You can give my reference. He will give you reasonable rate. I have visited Tadobba 10 times. I always take his cars.

Take this road.. This is shortcut to Moharli from Nagpur station. So your kilometres will be lesser and you will reach early. It will be only 145 Kilometers by this road. Open it on Google Map on your phone. make sure you carry Car mobile charger with you. Take left from Temburda. If Ravi Bhange will come with you then you don't have to worry. He knows this road very well.

You get bus from Nagpur to Chandrapur.. But it is hectic. It takes many stops and from Chandrapur you have to come to Moharli by Rik which is another pain. overall you get late for the afternoon safari.

Does anyone know of any other national park which allows per passenger ticket booking like ranthambore does?
We r just two of us and looking to visit Tadoba in Feb16, but it seems that u have to book an entire gypsy irrespective of the no of pax...max being 6.

Hi didindia7, the gypsy in tadoba costs Rs 3300 (300 guide+750/1000 park entry fee+2000 vehicle hire) Hey Nitin, i spoke with Ravi yesterday & confirmed the rates. And in ranthambore it was abt 750 per person for gypsy and abt 450 for a canter.
Someone told me that canters (in Tadoba) dont go deep inside the forests as the gypsy does. The canter cant be booked online, if anyone has any authentic info on the canters in tadoba pls do share.

Thx
Vivek

More expensive if you get a ticket online at Ranthambore, very difficult. At Tadoba, you have the gipsy only for you, add 2 indian names and id numbers, many times people ask at the gate to share... The officials only control the first name with passport or identity card...

HI,

Yes, The bus takes only Tar roads and not the inner Gypsy roads. Gypsy roads are narrow road. Bus (canter) can not go inside. Bus leaves from Moharli, then it goes straight to Tadoba gate where you can get down for loo and little stretch break. then the Bus goes to Jamni village. the road to jamni is not Tar road but decent wide for bus. They wait there for an hour or more. then from Jamni the bus goes to Pandharpawni and from pandharpawni it comes from the Tadoba lake road.

In short it roams on the main road only,. It doesnt go in many of the core areas like JamunJhora, jamunbawdi, Aswalheera, ambeutara, vasantbhandara and many more core areas. practically You get what you pay for.

but again if you are with kids and old people then I would suggest to take a canter seats. Again sightings are not related to Bus or Gypsy. many of the people have got to see Tiger killing other animals type of sightings from Canters and many like me have always taken Gypsy have not seen even a sambar deer many times.

all the best

regards

Hi Vivek,

Yes in Tadoba you have to book whole Gypsy.. 3300 approx. It is always advisable to go to Tadoba in 6 people group. So you can do maximum trips in core area in Gypsy at lowest rate.

If you are going for Photography purpose then Canter is no use. They will not stop if you see any bird and would like to take photo of it. Canter is just a jungle safari.. and they follow Tiger movements on main road only. for deep route Jungle experience you have to take gypsy only.
