Spotted Deer spot a Tiger in Tadoba

On an April Evening, a pack of spotted deer sense presence of a pair Bengal Tigers nearby. Their alarm calls immediately start echoing through the air. They flee away from the spot instantly to avoid any possible danger! Taken in Telia Dam region. April 2014.

Machli - The Legendary Tigress of Ranthambhore

Best watched in Full HD (1080p)

Description
Machli - The Legendary Tigress
Ranthambhore, Rajasthan
June 2014.
Machali (T-16), the royal tigress is the most famed in India and is exclusively the pride of Ranthambhore National Park. It is the most photographed tigress in Ranthambhore. Many documentaries and short films have been shot for her and she had been the star of the wild tiger world. The most noticeable thing in Machali is in her name. It is named so since she has the fish shaped marking on the left part of her face. Machali, the queen of the tiger dynasty is now in her devolving stage; a painful fact to be accepted.

Superb Ronak. Particularly liked the lack of sound when the queen moves. The panting and chilling into the mud, ah lovely catch. You are lucky and so are we.
Cheers

Daisy & Arupratan, thanks for watching & liking the video.

Somnathda, we are indeed lucky to have watched Machli (& also spend considerable time with her) in our first trip to Ranthambhore. She is getting older day by day & no one knows how long she will be able to survive. Many of the guides & drivers were of the opinion that she will not be able to see the start of the new season in October. Hope for the best. We have muted the sound for the whole video otherwise you would have heard constant shutter clicks as if Machli was walking on the ramp & fashion photographers were continuously shooting a model. Machli remains the most photographed tigress of Ranthambhore.

Re: Discover Wild India - Widlife Videos from India

Dear Ronak,
I love the respect and sensibility with which you film as well as edit. The run of the mill, on your face with big lens, macho and loud, the usual breed of nature photographers often make me feel like puking. I see hundreds of photos where the birds are taking off in a hurry, the animals quickly taking shelter, running off, all pointing that the photographer is encroaching into a space where they should have never been in the first place. I have seen that in your videos, in general, the animals are at peace and that is what I admire most.
Regards
Somnath

Somnathda, i generally shoot whatever is there in front of me. Editing is done by both me & Jetal seating side by side & is quite time consuming. Photos are edited by Jetal by her own. Each clipping is seen several times before it's final version. Our aim is to make the viewers aware of India's varied & amazing wildlife.

I do shoot action clips also if I come across but all this is done without intruding in animals / birds space & this is possible because of the ultra zoom we use. Whenever a sighting is going on the only thing moving is our fingers (to click & press record button), our lips are totally shut & body movement is highly restricted. Even we have dedicated set of clothing which blend with the environment & are suitable for wearing in the forest. Our 13 year old niece Diya (who now stays at Surat) has been coming with us to wildlife since she was 5-6 years old & is so familiar with wildlife dos & donts that normal tourists will feel ashamed of themselves in front of her. Generally she comes with us once a year for wildlife.

We sincerely hope by way of Discover Wild India we are able to achieve our aim of bringing India's varied wildlife to viewer's & nature lovers notice.

Love the garden lizard video Ronak, looks like he was posing for you!

This one is not from any National park/protected forest, but nevertheless a video depicting wildlife.

Baya Weavers/Weaver birds are well known for their excellent nest building skills. This video captures the hectic activity at a colony of these birds on a few coconut trees in the wee hours of morning. Males are brilliant yellow in colour! At the end, you can see a male entering the nest. The air is filled with calls of the weavers.
