Thanks for watching. This was late in the evening at Bijrani zone, safari timing was about to end & we were returning to our Forest Rest House & suddenly this beauty turned up at a distance though. Got really lucky as they say it's easy to sight a tiger in Corbett but very difficult to sight a Jungle cat. Next video upload would take a little time as Wife & I are headed to Palolem for 8 days. Leaving Saturday night by train. Relaxation, Kayaking, Bird watching, cycling & a bit of work (I have many clients in Goa).
Ronak.

Thanks. It's a very small national park as compared to the tiger reserves. But it's awesome for watching wildlife from up close. Lots of Pelicans, Harriers, Nil Gai (Blue Bull) & if lucky Hyena & Wolf can also be sighted. Yes, we were lucky, will be uploading some more videos in coming day (or months).

Thanks. Uploaded video is a combination of 4 - 5 different videos taken at different times during our 2 1/2 days stay at Velavadar. I have used my Panasonic DMC FZ 35 (with 18x optical zoom) for videos & photos are taken by Jetal (my wife) with Nikon D90 & 80 - 400 mm lens. Blackbuck running & fighting were taken from some distance (say around 30 mtrs or so) & Blackbucks jumping (crossing road) was from around 10 mtrs. Ronak.
Lovely video, Ronak. I did not have this idea of taking videos when we had visited 'Jayamangali Blackbuck Reserve' near Bangalore, a few years ago. Ofcourse I was using Sony powershot then (5x optical zoom
).

Naveena, thanks for watching. Now that you are better equipped you can take some videos on your next visit to the Blackbuck reserve. Ronak.
Yes Ronak!! I keep planning to visit one of these Black buck Sanctuaries whenever we drive down towards Bangalore. There is one sanctuary of these black beauties, I have seen near Ranebennur. Whenever we drive past Hubli, we see boards with directions towards Ranebennur Blackbuck Sanctuary!
May be sometime soon!

If possible (if some FRH is available) try & stay there overnight. You will love it. Also most of the animals & birds are active during early morning & late evening. Ronak.
Ronak, had things gone as per plans, we would have been at Dandeli during this time! Had thought of staying closer to Anshi forest/FRH! But my FIL was not keeping well and our program changed drastically. Leaving for Bangalore tomorrow morning. May be sometime early next year, we will be doing the Forest stay. Till then I have my 'Mumbai Maika (Mom's house?) - SGNP
.
