It was due to a ruling by Uttarakhand High Court I believe. The last I heard was 2 days ago and the decision has been overturned and the rest houses in Dhikala and Bijrani will open. We do not have a date yet.

I have not read anything to support the same and the high court ruling still exists I think. Could you please link some source? Thanks.
If you find my posts confrontationist, please bear, I am an old frustrated guy who has nothing better to do than sit on rocking chair and curse the world whole day

I was informed yesterday, I have no evidence except I was informed by our guide in Corbett, Ramesh Suyal, who has been very active in lobbying for the lodges to open.

Though the booking is supposed to have commenced on 22nd Nov and one (indian national) can book 46 days in advance, no availability or bookings possible after 16th Dec 2018. Wonder why?

I think this is the reason one cannot book after 16th dec.
The website does not allow bookings after 16th dec.
If this is how its going to be, than sadly one of my most "close to heart" dream will remain unfulfilled.
