Same kind of thing, but smaller....

And not nearly so well photographed.

I can't see into their place except with a mirror. I have to hold the camera upside down, seeing just a little on the screen in the light of the focus-assist lamp. I'm getting some terrible photos! But at least I am getting some.

A couple of phone pics to explain the location. This is part of the front of our house. Note the cardboard box in the corner. It is on top of one of those plastic stools...

The kittens are under the stool...

11 days now. And when I looked with the mirror just now, I saw open eyes for the first time

A recent assessment for IUCN reports 3000-3500 of these animals live scattered over several areas in Kerala, Karnataka. The lion-tailed macaque ranks among the rarest and most threatened primates.

Many big animals in Tadoba, but did you see this during your visit there?

Treeshrew - looks similar to squirrels, but scientifically way apart from them.

Sorry TD, I only had a 18-55 mm lens during that visit.. (first trip with a DSLR)
So this is the best I could manage.
I am going to unleash some of the photos taken by that in the birds thread - folks need to keep their hands away from their hair please!

The cat chronicles - this would help answer VA's query of how long this has been going on.

The first documented visit is more than 2 years back.

Then the next photos from about 5 months back.

Last from the recent litter. However the cat didn't like photos to be taken of her little ones and the very next day she picked them up and took them elsewhere. I can see her once in a couple of days, but the young ones are well hidden.. Absolutely no sign of them as yet.

Could a "family-planning" (really means no-more-family planning) be thought of for that cat?

She is a community cat, individual decisions don't apply.
