Hello, I am hoping to travel from Goa to Mumbai in February although my PNR status is W/L 1,GNWL W/L 1
When I booked the ticket, I booked my infant son (4 months old) as well, and yet he does not appear on the PNR status. Only "Passenger 1". Can anyone confirm that infants don't appear on bookings at all?
Thanks.

Infants and children under the age of 5 travel Free on Indian Railways and are as such not alloted a berth or seat. However, it is always advised to add them to the passenger list to have an accurate count of the number of passengers on board. Though they don't appear on the Reservation charts or tickets the details are captured and stored by the railways. This info is usefull in the event of an accident when accurate passenger data is essential.
