I have managed to book 3 tickets on the irctc website (hooray).

I have a query about the info in one of the bookings. The train is:

Train No. & Name: 2955/BCT JP EXPRESS
Date of Journey: 11-1-2008
Class: 2A Date Of Boarding:11/1/2008
From: SAWAI MADHOPUR(SWM) To : JAIPUR(JP)
Coach No: A1 Distance: 0132 KM

The seating details are:
Seat No:
0029/SL
0030/SU
0002/UB
0004/UB

What do these seat details mean? Are we together?

Any advice welcome.

There are seat layouts here: http://www.indiamike.com/india/india...n-forms-t7485/

If my understanding is correct (and assuming this is a broad gauge train?), the first two are side (aisle) berths upper and lower in the middle of the carriage, the other two are two upper berths at the beginning of the carriage. So not together, no, but in two pairs. You can ask the TTE (ticket inspector) or your fellow passengers if you can swap seats once you're on board. I guess it won't be a very long journey anyway, is that right? Note that all these will just be normal seats in the daytime, to be converted into berths at night.
