Updating International Mobile Number on IRCTC website

I edited my international mobile number in my existing account with IRCTC. When I log in, a fee of Rs 100 is payable, but there doesn't seem to be a provision to make the payment. There is an icon "safe and secure payments" on the right but I only get logged out when I click it. On the left it says "preferred bank"and "multiple payment service," but I can't put anything in there either. In "My Account" there is no option to list a credit card. Any advice?...

Many accounts of users here indicate that eventually cleartrip is what helps them. Not asking you to not use IRCTC, but it can become a bit too tedious at times for foreign accounts.

Thank you, but in order to book on Cleartrip you have to have a working IRCTC account...

Hi Ben,

I am having similar problems. I updated my phone number and paid on the old site, but logging into the "new generation" site , it now says "no such international code".

Some folk advise creating a new profile altogether, with a new email, etc.

Considering India is supposed to be a mighty I.T. country, not very good!

Thank you for your response, Ed. In the meantime after logging in about 30 times I managed to pay the fee of Rs 100 for updating my mobile. Suddenly I could click on the option "multiple payment service", which didn't work before. IRCTC are always happy to give you a surprise...

Indeed!

I found that some of my problems were that I selected Great Britain instead of United Kingdom. Dunno why Great Britain is an option if it won't work! (Maybe a Brexit thing, but I doubt that! )

Funny thing is that I have never had an sms from IRCTC, even with my new updated UK number...
