Hi, I've successfully registered on IRCTC and made the first train booking from Delhi to Jodhpur ......have now come to book the onward journey - Jodhpur to Jaipur (for 25th October), says it is available, can select, enter passenger details, payment details.....apart from the pesky (UK!) postcode for payment details - it's asking for a valid postcode! I've tried entering just numbers, with and without spaces.... but says that it is not valid (but they take payment each time!!) Any advice/help please.....
That is a bug in irctc system and creates problem since long time. It was happened to me in other way. I mean it was giving error for other part of address but still charging fare, although all money was returned my credit card safely, I was just staying without ticket. After long search, I have found a way to show myself as "Porteguese Nationality", and fiil up as correct details like passport number, age, sex. It worked. You can select any other nationality, do not worry. When you are traveling TTs generally do not check the passports, even if they check, they are more looking to name, age and sex.
