Hey folks
What is the rake composition of 9005, 9006? does the 1A to Veraval goes by a
different train from Rajkot?

i couldnt get a single direct ticket from Okha to Mumbai. So splitting it into 2
parts on the same train (9006), same day

part 1 - Okha to Rajkot by 2nd AC (Coach A1)
part 2 - Rajkot to Mumbai by 1st AC (Coach 1A)

how far apart are these coaches? are they connected by vestibule or should i get
down at rajkot and board the 1A coach from A1?

Thx
Naga

Hi, the irctc email with the reservation details says 1A - i know the coach will be HA1 or H1.

can you answer the rake composition and how far apart HA1 and A1 are in 9006?

They will be close and connected by Vestibule.

The carriages to/from Mumbai that are used on the Rajkot-Veraval sector are connected to a passenger train for their journey to/from Veraval (train numbers 259 & 260).

For the journey from Rajkot to Mumbai, the 2 separate parts of the train are connected at Rajkot, because of this, you'll have to get off the train at Rajkot and walk along the platform to find your 1A carriage (most likely an HA1), however, do ask before you get to Rajkot about how the 2 parts of the train are connected, the train from Okha is timed to arrive at Rajkot 5 minutes before the train from Veraval, so it's likely that the carriages from the Veraval train are moved and added to your part of the train, but do find out, it could be quite worrying if your standing on the platform and watching your carriages being moved somewhere else.

Not in this case.

Whenever I've seen 2 trains come together, each part has it's own 2nd unreserved carriages and Sleeper Class carriages either side of the air con carriages, so when the 2 trains are connected there can be quite a number of non-AC carriages separating the AC carriages.
