I have been told by a booking clerk that the Railways have abolished onward booking with its telescopic fare benefit. Now all bookings are point-to-point.
Is it really so? I haven't been able to confirm it on IR websites.

"Railway sources said the order was issued to eliminate technical difficulties in assessing five per cent GST
on AC class bookings for break and circular journeys."

Hopefully the break journey would be reinstated once they fix these technical issues.

But, Indian Rail official website has contrary information.

Still you can avail break journey and circular journey. There are no restrictions on it.

The restriction is applicable only to air-conditioned and first-class journeys.
