Hello and Happy New Year!
I have just booked myself and my partner on the Mumbai Radjhani in AC1 in March. Can anyone tell me if the AC1 carriage on this service is a full H carriage or a composite HA carriage? I think if it is a mixed carriage then there will only be one coupe otherwise there could be 3. Can anyone enlighten me?
Thanks!

I'm guessing that you mean train 12952. It has a full coach of 1AC with 3 coupes.

It is always best to quote a train number when dealing with Indian Railways.

You could see the coach composition in a specific train in erail.in or indiarailinfo.com.

Yes I do mean train 12952 - forgive me - this forum and India in general is quite new to me. I only asked the question because I used Cleartrip to make the booking. I have been monitoring the availability over the past few days until I was able to book my date and the maximum AC1 it ever says that are available is 10 for any one 12952 train but presumably they may release more allocation later if is a full H config? If there are 3 coupes then I guess it increases my chances of getting one - hopefully.

The balance of the berths will be in other quotas. For example this is one of the few trains to have two 1AC berths allocated to Foreign Tourist Quota. There will also be berths allocated to the High Official Quota. If these quotas are not used they get allocated against the waitlist at charting.

Your chances of getting a coupe will very much depend on who else is travelling.
