Lunch at Rajdhani Express

I will travel by Howrah Rajdhani exp on 15th May'11. That day is sunday and the train will start at 14:05 hrs. My question, is there any possibility of serving lunch in that Rajdhani Exp.

No clue about this one! But what about packing a burger or two from a take away for the train?

They feed you so much on Rajdhani's anyway . . I'd be happy to skip the first meal. Really hate the way it takes away from the station food experience. 2 PM I'd say lunch is a distinct possibility! Cougar I have a feeling would be the guy to ask . . .

Most probably No.
Immediately after departure of train tea / snacks are served. One bottle of drinking water is given after the departure of train and again one bottle is given next morning before serving breakfast.

In Spain, 2p or 3p is lunchtime, but in India, lunch is at 12n or 1p.

No lunch at Howrah Rajdhani.

On the Rajdhani, soup is served from 12.30 p.m. onwards and lunch is served by 1.30 p.m.. So, your train has almost 0% chance of giving you lunch.

Best is to eat before you board the train or carry something to eat. Eat and then catch a nap if you gotta.

You will get tea by 3.30- 4 p.m.

The food on the Rajdhani isn't so great of late , we have had 3 bad experiences after having good food earlier, so don't expect too much.

The food they used to give you 2-3 years ago was quite good.

I agree with sumitra. Food at Rajdhani is quite bad these days.recently we travelled by howrah rajdhani.The chicken in dinner was absolutely tasteless, the dal without salt.

The normal meal served on chambal express on the previous week was much much better, in terms taste as well as packing (special veg meal for rs.110/-)
