Information I've about Ladies Quota is -

Ladies Quota is the one under which only ladies travelling alone or with a child less than 12 years of age are eligible to book. In some trains, a total number of 6 berths are earmarked under ladies quota in Sleeper Class (SL) and Second Seating Class (2S) for ladies irrespective of age. There is no any additional charge for using this quota for females.

To book ticket under Ladies Quota , one has to select “Ladies” under Quota option on IRCTC. This option is available along with other options such as Tatkal, General etc. For booking at PRS counter one has to mention about this quota in the reservation form. Under this quota there is no prevalence of RAC/WL. So once six seats are booked, there is no chance to get any more seats. It is tough to get a seat in ladies quota as seat gets booked well before. If you’re lucky there might be a chance that you get a seat in Ladies Quota when all other quotas are already full.

Now I just want to know that if we book tickets for 2 eligible ladies/female under this quota in a train do we get the bearth/seats in same coach (along with each other) or is any change to get seats/bearth in different coach....?

Also all 6 seats of this quota are in same coach or in different coaches (i.e. 2 Bearth x 3 Coaches)...?

You are confusing the ladies quota (LD) with the lower berth quota (SS) - the latter quota is for male senior citizens (above 60) or for ladies above 45 traveling in a group of not more than 2. Under this quota 2-4 berths are allocated per reserved coach of the train (depending on class, this is for sleeping classes only). These lower berths will be spread across different coaches.

The ladies quota on the other hand is a block of 6-9 seats/berths in the lowest reservable class of every train. These seats/berths are all together (i.e. in the same coach and next to each other). I have booked five berths under one reservation for the ladies quota - there is no 'travelling alone' requirement.
