We have a group of 45 students going from our medical college
We will be travelling by sleeper class.

We will be going from Ernakulam to Agra by Mangala Express 12617 and return trip by amristar kochuveli exp 12484. I wanted concession for both the trains. I would like to know the procedure for getting student concession. Please reply
at the earliest.

I hope you know student concession can be availed only if a) student is going to his native place, b) student is going to attend an exam or c) if a group of 20 or more are going for an educational tour.

Your college will have a concession form which needs to be filled while booking the ticket. I think you will also have to get a letter from the college stating that you are going on an educational tour.

As above the college registrar is important in stating the educational purpose of the trip, Indian history, cultural depth?..

Not helpful to the OP - but it reminded me of our educational tours from college.
Our curriculum mandated a visit to an integrated iron and steel plant. There are quite a few of those in India - bokaro, villai, Rourkela, Durgapur...
But guess where every batch used to go? yes - vizag
Once we reached vizag we visited the steel plant for one day and spent the rest of the four days sight seeing. Then off to Hyderabad - ostensibly to visit DRDO and MIDHANI. Same routine there- one day for plant visit and the two days for sight seeing

Thank you for your replies guys. I am not sure if that concession book is available at our college. If I am not lookimg for concession, can I book 45 tickets at a time? Will I need any permission from the railway divisional office for that?I am talking about tickets without concession, that is to reserve normal sleeper tickets

Take a letter from the proctor/principal of your college stating that you are going on a educational tour. then go to the nearest reservation center that go to the counter that deals with special cases(freedom fighters, handicapped etc). You can buy it there.
