Editing a booked ticket

hi all,
i booked an e-ticket in which i have accidentally mentioned the sex of 6 yr old kid as female, i want to change it to male, wats the procedure that i need to follow.

Well, This editing is not yet allowed.
I know my advice is legally not justified but I will suggest you not to much worry as the Ticket checker will mainly check the number of total persons traveling and identity proof of anyone of them. I hope the name of the child is entered correctly so in case TC asks for this, you can argue. There is no need to inform him regarding this in advance.
Also if you wish you can cancel the picket partly (only for the child) and can rebook the ticket. but in this case you wont get his seat nearby.

Don't bother about it. Its a minor thing that the TTE will not worry about. Also changing it is I believe too much of a hassle.
