Dear Friends,

I have the below query, I have booked this train on 17th Feb'2012.
I have booked 1st AC ticket.
1) Will train reach as per schedule?? I have to board another train from Howrah to TATA 5:30 PM,
2) How is food quality, I will be travelling with my 1 year old daughter. I will be carrying some food for her, however want to check for me and my wife.
3) Berth are still not allocate yet, as per some review came to know berth will be allocated only before 4 hr of travel, will I and my wife get berth allocated in same compartment??

Have you made it clear that you have a 1 year old travelling with you, if so, you have a very good chance of being allocated a 2-berth coupe, if not, you may be allocated 2 berths in a 4-berth cabin.

1. Me and my friend have managed to catch HWH Rajdhani which departs well before 5, twice.

2. Average nothing spectacular. Not much in store for your kid except for the toffee and juice (Or at the most an apple, since you would be taking 1AC)

(All-1st AC)

It would be better to carry milk and electronic heating machine for the same and/or other food items.

This is one of the high demand trains plying in this route. I have travelled innumerable times by 12245/46. (Most of times in 1AC, only once n 2AC). According to my experience, coupes are usually allotted to the young people/couples/brother-sister travelling against same PNR)

##
Since berth allocation would be done manually by the CRS, kindly pay him a visit and drop an application to allocate you a Lower Berth (Atleast in a Cabin, if not in a Coupe)

Avoid the tomato soup. Seeing the picture of it reminds me of how bad it is. Don't you think its a bit too red - lots of artificial colouring?

Dear All,

Went through other post, I have decided to book ticket from Howrah to Tata (Steel express) manual ticket though. Just in case if train reaches late I can cancel ticket in the counter.

##The scheduled arrival of 12246 in HWH is 16.00 hrs, and the scheduled departure of 2813 Steel Express is 17.30 hrs. Irrespective of the fact that you are travelling by Duronto in the first leg, certainly, this is a "tight" connection, more so, when a passenger travels with his family including Kids.

##Recently I have travelled by 12246 and it arrived in HWH at 16.35 hrs. It had a very slow run between Khurda Road Jn. and Barang Jn. Also please note, it is still single line between Barang and Cuttack.

##Added to this, 12246 passed through KGP. Platform at a moderate speed.

##If there is one more train after Steel, there is absolutely no harm, if you please reserve tickets even in that train.
