I chose the low end of the advertised mileage per litter. Which could very well be too conservative but the high end of the advertised mileage ranges for vechicals are more often than not realistic.
It interesting to see so many manual transmissions in newer cars here. In the US one has to go out of their way to get a manual nowdays.

Ville Parle to Vasai Rd Railway station.
I noticed on indiarail info that there are departures after midnight by suburban trains from Villa Parle. I assume purchasing a ticket at the counter will not be a problem
at that time in the morning?
Greetings,
Homerus.

Most stations have at least one booking counter open during the train running times. However you would need to check whether the counter on the east or west side would be the one that would be open.

I suggest you open an Indian Railways UTS app available everywhere. You can book your unreserved local tickets just 500 meters away from the railway lines. Its good and great. You don't need an hard copy: need to show only ticket booked, if asked. You don't have any doubts about availability of ticket booking offices totally. Make your ticket and you go.. like that.. poof
Its very useful.
Good wishes.

I noticed on Indian railinfo, train no 07110 special fare departs from Coimbatore JN at 06:15, on a sunday morning.
It is not listed on Irctc but do you have any info regarding this departure.
Thanks.

Good Morning on Tuesday. I could not find the train you mention even on India railinfo. ( had been been admin there). Possibly it must have been for a specifie period and has been withdrawn subsequently. Please look up the trains again. Good wishes.

Train numbers starting from '0' are run during specific time period ranging from a couple of weeks to couple of months. For example during Diwali / Summer Holidays / Navratri / Ganesh Festival.
I have found this information for this special train:

I am surprised indeed: I had checked with indiarailinfo of which I am now an so called moderator !
The catch lies in the fact that the train's details were published on 2nd Jan. However that is no excuse. My apologies. PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU CHECK THE CALENDER OF DAYS RUNNING IS BUGGED BY TRAIN CANCELLED MOST TIMES.
Thank you for pointing out the position. and educated me. Just be careful of about this train because of the volatile running status.
Good wishes/
Hi,
Thanks for the information.
I know I can take a train to Coimbatore jn departing at around 07:10 from Ernakulam jn, so it is not a problem.
I made a mistake an typed from Coimbatore instead of from Ernakulam.
Greetings,
Homerus.

If I take the 03:40 departure from Vasai Rd to Shoranur Jn, train no 12978 arr 00:20, will I connect with the 01:30 departure to Combatore train no17605? Or is the 04:00 departure train no22638 a better option?
I had been planning to go via Ernakulam but I would not arrive in Combatore until 12 noon.

In my view you should take the 22638 to CBE, rather than the 12978 because it is too close a shave to get it. You need a sufficient buffer in case there are delays on the Konkan railways, which is a single line in operation. Similar Threads
