Do we have to show id proof at the time of reservation from booking window for 2AC and 3 AC?

I heard that at the time of travelling we have to show id proof. Do we have to submit xerox copy also at the time of booking from reservation counter.

Please note I am talking about normal ticket booking it is not tatkal booking.

I do not think there is a need to showing id proof at the time of booking the ticket for 2AC or 3AC. You will need to travel with an ID proof.

I agree with aarosh!

There is no requirement of either showing or submitting photocopy of ID proof while booking tickets. But, at least one person of the team would be required to show ID proof while traveling in an AC bogey.
