I'm planning to travel from Chennai to Haridwar via Agra
I would like to take 2 days break in Agra
chennai to Haridwar is 560Rs, 30Rs extra for breakup journey
my ticket reservation would be:
2687 chennai to Haridwar, Reservation upto Agra
onward journey 2687 Agra to Haridwar
two legs would be booked simultaneously

problem is 2687 chennai to Haridwar is weekly once train, so leg2 can't be booked with 7 days break
now, can I choose 2615 chennai to Delhi train for first leg which does not goto Haridwar?
2615 chennai to Haridwar, Reservation upto Agra
onward journey 2687 Agra to Haridwar
can train no of leg2 differ from that of leg1?

Any inputs would be appreciated - Bala

The 2 (or 3) trains can be completely different trains.

Dear Bala,

Apart from 2687/2688 (Weekly), there is daily train to Haridwar, namely, 8477/8478 Utkal-Kalinga Express and also on Four Days in a week, the Ujjain-Dehradun Express.

You can use these 'connecting trains'.
