Food most excellent

I'm home after couple months. Mum cooked all this - methi Malai matar, matar paneer, gobhi, boondi raita, roti. All this on a steel plate (we mango people have no proper plates, even the salad is in a plastic tiffin)

Abhinandab-ji, that does look nice. Is that avocado on top?

For lunch today, I had the pleasure of dining at the house of an English friend, where I was treated to two "chip butties". Aren't I lucky. Where's a masala dosa when you want one eh.

It would be nice to be able to pick avocados from the garden, if only the climate here was up to it. I do try to avoid imported fruit n veg, but avocados are exempt.

Same with mangoes, although after having had ripe mangoes in India, it's hard to get anywhere close with a mango sold in Europe. At least so far.

How often is this defence exercise carried out? Do you need volunteers - I can sacrifice a bit of the waist line in national interest....
