Better eat some food. Leave the locations for the locals.

1. Hotel Potala
2. Taste of Tibet
3. Baker's Cafe

If you want to try home made food, search for a home stay and ask them if they can make home made thuppa, momo etc. I don't know about Gangtok, everything is commercialized there. However, we got a homely home stay at West Sikkim.

Cheers!
Darjeeling, Kuari Pass Winter trek, Tawang-Dirang-Bomdila

Sorry, yes it is the name of a restaurant. It is situated in the basement of the Chumbi Residency Hotel on Tibet Road.
