Hi Imers

I found this nice recipe on GLUTEN-FREE ALOO PARATHA I tried it - came out good this is the link for it with step by step instructions

http://yesiamvegan.com/2014/04/22/buckwheat-roti/

i also added chopped coriander leaves to the ingredients

I should have added gluten free baking powder - to make it rise.

for the method - when i put the roti on the skillet and i covered it and let it get some moisture.

Also i mashed the potatoes when hot instead of grating as the recipe calls for

many of these gluten flour like buckwheat, makki flour and others are very drying.

thank you to the author

Hi Imers

Please help looking for Methi Roti which is made in Besan flour -( gram flour )
Without any other flour like rice flour or wheat flour

Besan flour is gluten free.

many recipes on the net but they mix besan and wheat. - I used to make them too but mixed with wheat or just wheat alone.

thank you for your kind help

Hi Shashank were you referring to the Aloo Paratha @post #1

If so it was gluten free Baking Powder i was referring to. Not Soda.

Also about Gluten free baking powder - i did not know if they had such an ingredient like that. My baking powder was old and decided to replace it and thats when i saw the new container showing.....

Hi 'now' - when you wish to include someone's message in your reply, you can simply click the QUOTE button in the message, easier than making italic...hope this helps.

If you look at the Wikipedia page for baking powder you see they often include starch. Gluten-free would just mean... gluten-free starch, right?

I once by mistake bought gluten-free self rising flour and found it was very good to make dosas quickly - just mix with yogurt and water.

Thank you Rassika

For telling me how to use the quote button

Am not sure of the starch meaning but cooking gluten free it is more flat and dry especially the rotis. So i just thought i should have added baking powder.

Please share the name brand of the gluten free self rising flour and sounds good as the dosa is instant.

The Usual rice and urad dosa are excellent and gluten free but soaking is required.
