Hi everyone,

I am planning the Chandrakhani Pass trek around October end and looking for partners who might be interested.

I plan to leave Delhi for Manali around 24th October. The route would be:

Manali - Naggar - Rumsu - Chandrakhani Pass - Nagaruni - Kiksa Thatch - Malana Village - Rasol - Chalal - Kasol.

I'm hoping to finish this route in about 7-8 days. I am not interested in taking guides/ cooks / porters. I prefer carrying my own gear and follow the trail.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

Cheers!

Hi Everyone,

Apologies for the late reply. I was off for a different trek and returned only today. Now looking forward to the trek as mentioned in the subject!

I'm thinking of reaching Manali on 26th or 27th October and spend a day there mostly stocking on the food supplies for the trek. So we start from Manali and end in Kasol from where I plan to take the return bus to Delhi. I have a 2 person 3 season dome tent so if more than 2 are interested for this trek, then tents will have to be bought on rent. The link below will give you an idea of the route:

The above link is by some trekking company offering their services. But I prefer doing it on my own without guides, porters or cook. At the end of the itinerary as mentioned in the link, after Malana, you go back to Manali by road. I am interested in continuing the trek to Rasol Village and ending at Kasol through Chalal.

Let me know if anyone has any questions!

Cheers!

There is no train to Manali. The best way to get there is to take a HPTDC bus from Kashmere Gate, Delhi directly to Manali costing about 1200 rupees and translating to about 12 hours of journey. I have never tried arranging the gear (tent, sleeping bags, mats etc.) from Manali...so I'm unsure of the rental costs and the security deposit. Also, since these would be hired from Manali, and the trek ends at Kasol, the person renting the gear will have to go back to Manali by bus to return the gear while I plan to directly come back to Delhi from Kasol.

Yup...and I accepted it and you have also crossed the 10 post mark. Still I don't see the option to PM you!
