Need a companion for Nagzira Forest Trip-May-19
Hi All,
My love for Jungle is making to make some plans. I am planning to travel to Nagzira in May-19. I had a plan to travel alone then thought of checking if someone like minded is available.
Tentative Plan is as follows,
Starting Point: Pune
Mode of Travel: My personal car
Duration of the trip: 6 days (including travel)
Accommodation: Forest Guest House Dormitory or Cottage.
Itinerary:
Day 0: Depart by night from Pune & drive overnight to Nagzira
Day 1: Reach Nagzira by 2:00 PM. Check in Forest Guest House & go for evening Safari.
Day 2 to Day 5: Enjoy stay in Forest. Go for one or two Safari everyday.
Day: 6: Return to Pune.
Why travel companion?
Networking, general chit chat during the travel, expense sharing, it's a joy if someone equally passionate about jungles/wild life is with you.
Note: All driving will be done by me. So driving workload sharing is NOT expected.
Expected expense for the trip: Approx 22k to 26k for two. With 50% sharing it will be 11-13k each.
Brief about me: Love travelling, cars & cricket. I am an engineer by profession. Fairly disciplined, love non veg food but I am a teetotaler (don’t drink alcohol).
I can be contacted on XXXXXXXXX

Hi, sounds mouthwatering !!!
My only concern is whether any of the FRHs have AC because without that survival may be difficult. I am from Kolkata and if I join I will have to join from Nagpur airport. Nagzira has been very kind to me in the past. My best ever Leopard sighting was there and yes , I prefer Leopards over Tigers.

Hi, that one is a pretty neat shot. Nagzira is enchanting. Couple of points,
1. I am sure that FRH in core zone have AC. I am in touch with a local guide, we can confirm once again before booking.
2. The Safaris at Nagzira are allowed in personal car. So I will be utilizing my Punto for the same purpose & not paid Gypsies. I have done this once in Nov-16. Since I plan to spend 4-5 days inside the forest & 8-9 Safaris, hiring Gyspy will shot up the budget considerably. I hope you are Ok with this. Gypsy Vs Personal car cost comparison is Rs. 500 Vs Rs. 2600 per Safari.
I'm out to a trip to Walong till 26th. Will mull over and revert to you once I'm back.
Cheers
