Retired active English couple travelling independently through India from mid- January to mid-March would welcome ideas and opportunities to meet similar travellers along the way.
We have done a similar trip before from Delhi, Goa, Ooty, Cochi, Sri Lanka. We start in Mumbai and Rajasthan then probably on to Lucknow, Varanasi, Kolkata, Chennai and Pondicherry, catching Holi somewhere back north, perhaps at Udaipur. We are completely flexible however and may just spend a few weeks on a beach somewhere if we want to.
We have only booked two weeks ahead and will do most long trips by air, hiring a car and driver for local exploration.
We would like to meet up perhaps with English-speaking couples doing something similar, but we donít want to stay in any hostels. We will book our own transport and accommodation online as we go.
Do get in touch, Peter S

My experience was that it was far better to hook up with Indian travellers than the videshi kind. Have done the latter twice with diametrically opposite results..
