Hello all,

I am planning to explore the upper Himalayas in Uttarakhand and from their move on to Himachal to explore the Spiti Valley. I got a rough plan on my mind but obviously it's all very flexible because plan changes as you face different situations on the journey (though I hate to plan). So here you go:

1) On 20th night I plan to take a bus to Haridwar from Delhi ISBT and reach there on 21st early morning. Stay in Haridwar for a day to attend Ganga Aarti and then on 22nd early morning take a bus to Gangortri from Haridwar
2) On 22nd evening/night reach Gangotri. Spend the night and whole next day i.e. 23rd Sep in Gangotri.
3) On 23rd early morning leave for Gomukh trek (18kms one side) and stay overnight in Bhojbasa (5 km away from Gangotri).
4) On 24th early morning leave for Gomukh and then back to Gangotri on the same day. Stay overnight in Gangotri
5) On 25th morning leave for Harsil (30km from Gangotri). Will stay in Harsil for couple of days as I love this vilage and another village called Bagori (hardly 1km from Harsil)
6) On 27th morning I will start my journey for Sankri village (235km from Harsil) in tones valley. Will take a bus and stay overnight at Barkot (153km from Harsil)
7) On 28th morning take a bus from Barkot for Sankri and reach there by afternoon. Spend 29th also in Sankri
8) On 30th morning start my journey for Osla village. To reach Osla village, I will take a shared jeep to Taluka village (10 km from Sankri) and then do a 12km walk to from Taluka to reach Osla by 30th evening
9) From 30th evening until 5th October, I will stay in Osla village (again, I love this village and the people there)
10) On 6th October evening will reach Sankri and stay overnight there.
11) On 7th October, will leave for Dhaula village near Sankri. Dhaula is the base for Rupin Pass trek
12) 8th October-12th October - Rupin Pass Trek (approx. 55kms): This trek starts from Dhaula in Uttarakhand and finishes in Sangla village in Kinnaur district, Himachal Pradesh. I plan to reach Sangla by 12th Oct

13) 13th Oct-24th Oct: Spiti Valley
14) 25th Oct: reach Manali and spend couple of days there before reach Delhi by 29th Oct.

1) Above plan is just a rough one. All depends on the weather, road conditions, transport etc.
2) Will rely mostly on public transport or shared vehicles
3) Please don't ask the estimated expense for the whole journey as I myself don't have any idea. I just know that I travel cheap and will look for the cheapest option most of the times. And if anyone joins me then all the expenses will be shared equally.
4) No need of guide or any trekking equipment for Gomukh trek. For Rupin Pass trek, my 3-4 friends from Delhi will join me till Sangla. And also, we will have a trekking guide who is also my friend along with his team who will take care of all the trekking equipment and the basic food
5) Spiti Valley: have no idea how I am going to do it but eventually I will do it

It would be great if someone from could join me. And interested folks, please do let me know if you got any questions regarding anything.
