Hi everyone!

My name is Erica, I'm a 22 yo from Sweden. I landed in Delhi on january 26th and is already tired of travelling alone without someone to share experiences with. And also it is of course practical to have someone for safety reasons, to share expenses with etc. My travelplans are kind of loose, the only places I know I wanna see/things I wanna do so far is: backwater, go to some national park, Pondicherry, Hampi, Mumbai, Agra, Varanasi and also Delhi again. Go further up north as the temperature rises or something like that.

I would say that I'm laid-back and calm without beeing to slow I like adventures but I also like to just sit back and relax/hanging out with friends over a glass of wine or a beer. I don't have any specific request as to what my travelpartner(s) should be like except that I maybe would get suspicious if you are a 40+ man.

Don't hestitate to send me a message/reply to this thread if you find this interesting. Unfortunately I don't have a phone with indian sim card so therefore I don't use my phone at all - but I'm hoping it will start to work soon.

Oh, and I was about to forget: I'm currently staying in Fort Kochi, Kochi. But I dunno for how long I'll be here.

If you are going to Pondicherry check this place :

http://sadhanaforest.org/

It is an interesting place and ideal for a short break in your journey! You will definitely find someone like-minded here to travel with you.

Erica,

Welcome and good luck finding a great travel partner. But, as Theyyamdancer warns, be cautious.

Hi jooplin,

If you want someone to see Cochin, let me know. I work on weekday and is free on weekends. I am engineer working for an MNC in Kochi. Also born and brought up in Ernakulam. Also if you are interested in seeing a typical kerala village, let me know. I love helping people as long as it wont make me bankrupt. I am not a tour operator and I am also not 40+

Also I am planning for my Varansi trip sometime late february, early March. Delhi/Agra and Dharmassala is in my wishlist. I have only 2-3 weeks for covering these.

Erica ---

It is quite risky to meet someone online, you already know this. Moreover, it is difficult to pick out the right person from emails that you will receive.

You will meet like-minded traveler from the locales where these folks congregate. This will allow you an opportunity to discuss your travel plans with them and select.

You decided to travel solo, stick with it till you find someone suitable. Good luck.

I hate posts like this. The naiveté of it all. Sometimes I wonder if they are for real. And what difference a 40 plus as compared to a 40 minus. If you are for real, I understand your loneliness but go to some touristy hangouts and meet some people. This is not the way to go about it.

Ok, so it is naive. Point taken. If a mod would like to do so he/she can remove this thread. I guess I'm used to forums where it's less risky. Alder and Ubaidpv: sorry, your suggestions doesn't suit me (unaffected by the comments).

This forum is not risky. It's all in how it's used... like any other.
