I have been to India at least 15 times and now pop over once or twice a year for a few weeks. I find it a lazy way to revive my soul. I even enjoy hanging around the busy cities. Only on my last visit in March was I disappointed. The crowds of unsympathetic tourists in Karnataka and Goa were too much and travellers you would want to meet too hard to find.

But I have enjoyed revisiting old places so often that I've burnt myself out. Where now excluding the Amritsar to Kolkata run, Maharashtra, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan? I like the seaside but only for a few days and it's not essential. Any brief suggestions? Thanks a lot.

Try Gujarat (The kutch area), Madhya Pradesh or maybe the North eastern states?

When do you plan to do this? You could try Himachal Pradesh. A complete circuit from Shimla - Kinnaur - Spiti - Lahaul - Manali.

Have you been to Tamil Nadu?
Just to the North of it we enjoyed the beach of Vodarevu.

Sorry to be late with thanks. I am going to go for Gujarat this autumn and look at the other places next time.

Sorry to be late with thanks. I excluded Tamil Nadu because I've spent so much time there but will check out the place you suggest another time.

Sorry to be late with thanks. Good question. I'm doing Gujarat this autumn and you've inspired me to take my young kids to Meghalaya in the summer.

Well Autumn is actually the best time to visit. But then Meghalaya can be covered in any part of the year. Only thing is if you come in early part of summer, most of the falls would have almost dried up since most of tye streams are not perrenial and tye water resources are completely dependent on the rain.
