I want to help people wanting to travel within India, especially those from abroad. I have travelled almost all states and have stayed in all types of hotels. After I bought my digicam, travels have become more fun. I'm new to this forum and will like to visit differnt threads and also share experiences.

Thanx everybody for nice words. I went thru various fora and found that people had been very helpful. My effort will be a small contribution to the common cause.
I have started a small blog that gives advice and links to dependable websites and I must link this nice forum there. I don't think, giving that blog's id here will go against the ethics of this site. But as I am not sure, I will not mention about that till the moderator or somebody educates me on this aspect.

Mod note Radhey, you can read the forum rules here:
http://www.indiamike.com/index.php?page=rules

Briefly, anything which indicates commercial activity is not allowed. Including profiles, usernames, posts... well, everything

I read your rules, kaptain sir, and they are very strict. I dare not give my blog's address [though I have linked IndiaMike there]. I hope, you will pardon the present post for once though it tends to violate your rule that says: 'No Nonsense or Gibberish (1 point for 10 days): Worthless posts with no content and nonsensical posts eat up space and waste everyone's time.'

Whoa! We are not that scary!

(I hope! ).

You can post a link to your blog, as long as it is not of a commercial nature, that is, is not trying to sell anything to anyone.

I am sure that you can understand that we fight a daily battle against pro travel agents and the like who try all kinds of tricks to get a mention or a link on our site.

Without newcomers, where would we be? Newcomers are always welcome. If they do something against the rules, we let them know. That's really not a big deal; its just, people come along and find out how the place works and what goes and what doesn't.

Welcome! and Relax

Thumbs up

Thanx indeed.
I have tried to keep a collection of dependable links on this blog. Worth a look?
