If you had a choice between spending one night in Mount Abu and one night in Udaipur --- with a day of activity in each, or...

two nights in Udaipur (with activities during both days)

What would you do? What would you do?...

Opinions please...

Also, whilst we are on the topic:

Can anyone sincerely recommend excellent, exceptional, "non-touristy" (I hate the term as I must admit I am a tourist) places to stay in Udaipur and/or Mount Abu?

I feel like it's all take, take with me. But since I have never been to India, I can't give, give, give. Yet...

Many thanks for your replies.

To recommend non touristy and exceptionally excelent isn't possible, If it's exceptionally excelent it'll also be touristy.

The Dilwara temples in Mount Abu is a wonder by itself plus there is a lake. To visit the sights of Udaipur one day is sufficient. If you intend to skip Mt. Abu I suggest hire a car in Udaipur & visit the Jain temples at Ranakpur & Kumbhalgarh.

Many thanks for your reply.

It looks like it's going to be Udaipur for two days. Seems like a nice place to relax and hang for a couple of days.

Although, never being in either place, your comments are most valuable and useful!
