Looks pretty well balanced, and certainly doable. Early morning fog along the Ganges Valley (including Agra and Varanasi) may very well hamper your viewing of the Taj. But I've been there in the fog, and it can be spectacular, emerging out of the mist. But, in looking again at your dates, the fog in Varanasi was promised to me to lift by January 14, and it did (I've had four January's in Varanasi, and mid-month is a good time to expect clearing). You may get clarity Mornings can be cool, pack for that. Otherwise, I think you've got a good looking trip here. Safe travels.

P.S. and about trains . . . no harm in booking as early as possible

How do you plan to go to Jhansi from Agra? There is no direct train from Agra to Orchha. You will have to get down at Jhansi. From Jhansi Orchha is a 45 minute by auto and costs around Rs 250/-. If you reach Jhansi by 1:00 in the noon, you could also see the fort at Jhansi and then move towards Orchha.

For more information on Jhansi fort you can read my trip report in my signature.
