Indroneel, welcome to Indiamike.

First you are in wrong forum, . Hope mods can help you.

Your 10 days trip plan for that zone is good and APTDC's Rishikonda resort is very good. You can avail APTDC's Araku package - Rail-cum-Road trip will be better to enjoy both awesome rail journey and road view.

There are useful informative threads on that zone, please go through those, you can get primary help to chalk out your plan.

Hyderabad-Vizag-Araku-Jabalpur Trip Itinerary advice

Hello Everyone,

Looking for some suggestions on trip to Hyderabad-Vizag-Araku-Jabalpur. I came up with this itinerary. Kindly let me know if this is feasible or if it requires any amendments. Also kindly suggest the best way to go around this trip. Should we start with Hyderabad or Vizag?

Day1 - Take Yeshwantpur Express to Hyderabad. After lunch - sightseeing.(suggestions please)

D2 - Full day sightseeing at Hyderabad.

D3 - Arrival at Vizag. Please suggest transport options for Hyderabad to Vizag. RK beach, Kailashgiri etc.

D4 - To Araku by train. Borra Caves, Tribal museum etc. Return to vizag. Please suggest transport options
To Araku by train, local s/s, overnight stay

D5 - Yarda Beach, Marine Museum etc. Start off for Jagdalpur.

D6 - Jagdalpur sightseeing.

D7 - Return by Samaleshwari Express to Howrah.

You can catch the same train (Kirandul Passenger) from Araku on Day 5 for Jagdalpur. No need to go back to Vizag for Araku on Day 4 . It will save time & journey would be less hectic

Hi Arupratan Da,

Thank you!
But if we stay overnight at Araku, then we will miss out some spots in Vizag. Kirandul Express timing is in the afternoon. Please suggest how to workaround that.

Your schedule is pretty tight . However, on Day 2 you may board Godavari Exp from Secundrabad (at 5.40 pm ) to reach Vizag at around 6 am on Day 3. You will get 1 full day for doing the sightseeing trip in & around Vizag . Or you may add 1 extra day to do the trip in a leisurely manner.

Unfortunately an extra day will not be possible
But if we board Godavari Exp on Day 2, can we manage all sight seeing in Hyderabad?
What are the places we can include in sight seeing in Hyderabad in that time frame?

Ramoji Flim city is a full day affair, Golkunda Fort would take half a day if you skip the light the sound show in the evening hours, amongst the museums Salar Jung is a must visit place which should take again half a day, Lumbini parks and Hussain sagar are adjacent worth visit in the evening for light and sound show and last but not the least is Charminar with Makkah Masjid. These are places in nutshell if not more. To my opinion, you need three full days in Hyderabad!

We have a stringent time frame. As per the previous itinerary we can only afford one and a half day at most. Skipping Ramoji Film City would be utterly stupid...but cannot help. I see no other way!
