Currently i am traveling in South India and decided to stay a couple of weeks longer. So, this gives the oppertuniy to set up a good " South"  Itinerary.

Do you India experts have any advice for a great South experience? Right now i am Hampi and will stay here some 5 days.

Can i combinate:

Hampi to Mysore / Bylakuppe

Mysore to Madurai

Madurai to Pondy

I'm a little flexible in time, so if there a great options, i can choose

With Kochi , Kerala or Goa in let's say 2-3 weeks? I have to fly out to Bangkok, so what itinerary will fit the most?

Of course there are many travel options and here is my route pick for a South India 2-3 weeks itinerary starting from Hampi and ending in Chennai for a flight to Bangkok:

Hampi - Goa - Kochi - Munnar - Periyar - Alleppey - Varkala - Madurai - Pondy - Chennai - Bangkok

Good Luck

Glad to hear that your health is fine again.
Have a look at this idea for the Southern leg:
Quote:
Hampi to Mysore / Bylakuppe
Next Madikeri and the Coorg area
Continue Kannur - Alleppey - Madurai - Thanjavur and the Cauvery delta - Pondy - Mahabalipuram - Chennai.

Thanks! This is without Goa, right. Because it is difficult to travel?

Hi there

from Hampi you can take an overnight bus to Gokarna - ok not Goa but stunning beaches immediately to the south of the Holy city and much quieter and less commercialised than Goa. Then continue to Mysore (I think there is a direct bus)  or down to Munnar/Kochi/Alleppy.

Thanks - i think i also want to see "Goa" , maybe for 2 days and then go to Gokarna for 2-3 days.

So,

Hampi -> Goa (train) -> Gokarna  (train) -> Mysore /Bylakuppe

How can i combine:  Kannur - Alleppey - Madurai - Thanjavur and the Cauvery delta - Pondy - Mahabalipuram - Chennai.

Is this realistic for upcoming 3 weeks?

Can be done if you can get the train tickets for your day of travel or are prepared to take a long bumpy bus ride which I will not recommend for you specially with your recent upset stomach.

Gokarna - Mysore - Kannur can take a little longer than planned because there are not many trains in the above travel route and the trains do not run every day of the week.

For example the train number 16517 - Kannur Express that will take you from Mysore to Kannur only runs 3 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Sunday).

https://erail.in/train-enquiry/16517/MYS/CAN

There is better train connectivity in the Madurai - Thanjavur - Pondy - Mahabalipuram - Pondy - Chennai.

I will suggest that you sit down with a train travel agent and see what train tickets are available to plan your travel or you may have to cut/simplify your travel plans.

Good Luck - a nice travel adventure awaits you

What about direct from Mysore to Alleppey?
Will be much of rain in Kannur.

Won't think Munnar is worth the ride? Bumpy roads because of the hills?

There is no direct train from Mysore to Alleppey

Best train option to Alleppey is via Bangalore.
Mysore - Bangalore - Alleppey

Another option is to get to Coimbatore by bus and then there are trains from Coimbatore to Alleppey.

Why not just skip Alleppey and carry on to Madurai.

Go by bus from Mysore to Ooty instead of Munnar.
From ther by bus to Coimbatore and next by train to Alleppey.
