Dear Fellas

Till date, I have been only a virtual tourist wandering through Himachal/Uttranchal only ONLINE and imagination sitting far away in my cozy Singapore Unable to hold back now, I want to losen the strings during this year's travel to India in November. Hence, request you to help me in planning my journey. As this is the first time for me on such trip, I want to go rather slow and be on easier routes. More than a tourist, I would describe myself of a 'ghumakkad' (i.e. wanderer) nature. Though have nothing to boast of any adventure trips under my belt I like walking and want to tread the unbeaten paths. Following is what I have planned. Am sure for many, it will look quite novice due to my lack of experience. Appos

My Constraints are:-
Duration - 4 days, 3 nights (+ / - 1 day)
Period - Around 15th November (no other options)
Route - Chandigarh > Chail > Narkanda > Jalori > Kullu > Chandigarh
Transport - Bus/Jeep/Shared taxis/Walk
Stay - Home Stays or anything average will work with hot water bath.

Day 1
- Leave Chandigarh for Chail around 10 AM as I will be coming from a far small town in Haryana, reaching at the bus stand around 9.30AM. What are the options from Solan? Bus or Jeep?
- Reach Chail around 1 PM, have lunch (options?), What sightseeing?
- Leave Chail around 4 PM. By Bus or Jeep?
- Reach Narkanda by 7PM. Dinner Options? Home Stay in any nearby village options?

Day 2
- What sightseeing in or around Narkanda till 1 pm?
- Leave for Jalori Pass latest by 2PM. I know the transport here might be tricky thing. What is available? Bus or Jeep?
- What sightseeing in or around Jalori till 5pm
- Leave Jalori latest by 5.30 for the nearest town / village having home stay option ?
- Dinner options?

Day 3
- Leave for Kullu early morning latest by 8AM, transport options?
- Reach Kullu by 12PM, Lunch
-After lunch, is Bijli Mahadev trekking doable and back by 6 pm?
-Catch Night bus to Chandigarh from Kullu, any bus options around 9-10PM?

Day 4
-Reach Chandigarh early morning and breakfast
-Reach hometown by 5PM..ish.

Is the above plan feasible with necessary cushion? Some of the questions I have highlighted, please help for those. Sorry if I have asked too much.

Thanks a lot!!

Jalori Pass is far from an easy route, but it is definitely a slow one, so it fulfills half your requirements.

You can get some tips from this guy here:

He did the journey by bus at around 65 years of age, so I hope you're at least young enough to keep up with him.

Are there any home stay options in villages around

-Narkanda(night 1)

-Shoja(night 2)

How much time I should reserve for trekking (go and back) for

-Hatu peak(Day 2)

-Bijli Mahadev(Day 3)

Hope weather would be okay in mid november.
