Hi,
One of the options is Himachal Pradesh. We visited that area in 2014, for details read my journal.
This part was organized by Namaste travel agency, see here. We were very satisfied with their service.

Vonkla, your travel posts are very seductive... I started reading about your trip to Himachal, and now after some time I have reached Gorakhpur, 7 November ! I must stop now, but will continue again tomorrow.

It is nice to read of less touristy places that you have visited.

I notice that your wife phones for hotel bookings sometimes, does she speak a little Hindi?

I think you mean snowfall in September, that is not possible. If you want snow, that too is difficult unless you plan to trek to glaciers.
If you find my posts confrontationist, please bear, I am an old frustrated guy who has nothing better to do than sit on rocking chair and curse the world whole day

I agree that snow falling on you in early September is not an option, but from Manali area, etc, I think you should be able to see snow on very far distant mountain peaks only.
