Original Plan
Delhi - 3 days - overnight to Jodhpur
Jodhpur - 4 days ( including day travel bus or taxi to - Udaipur)
Udaipur - 3 days - overnight to Jaipur
Jaipur - 3 days - afternoon train to Agra
Agra - 2 days - Overnight train to Varanasi
Varanasi - 5 days - overnight to Delhi
Delhi 1 day & Night
Next day Homeward

I'm having second thoughts as I'm not keen on big cities, so thinking of dropping Jaipur and adding in Orchha & Bundi to get a few quiet days and a Balance

Delhi - 2 days train to Agra
Agra - 2 days Overnight Train to Jodhpur
Jodhpur - 4 days , Taxi to Udaipur
Udaipur - 3 days overnight Train to Bundi
Bundi - 3 days to Orchha ?
Orchha - 2 days - Bus to Jhansi overnight train to Varanasi
Varanasi - 5 days - Overnight Train to Delhi
Delhi - 1 day - homeward next day

Problem : How to get from Bundi to Orchha

Is this still too much ?
Correct order ?

Perhaps Drop Bundi for another smallish stop over point at the advice of Imikers

Dropping Jaipur is OK in my book But since you're in the area, Khajuraho? . . .

Another option could be Delhi - Udaipur - Jodhpur - Bundi - Agra - Orchha - Varanasi - Delhi.

Kota is about 40 km from Bundi and connected with train and bus.
Kota has better connections with Jodhpur and Agra.

Yes, it is touristy, but I really like Jaisalmer. Perhaps you can cut Jaipur and Jodhpur down and see Jaisalmer.

If you can do Orchha, you will like it there---an antidote from big cities!

I'm liking this better, a quick look at train schedules, looks like it will work well. I'll also look at adding a day with a view of an over night trip to Khajuraho from Orchha.

It's got me thinking back to the original goal; not to be rushing about to much and to chill, as far as possible. People and culture watching with feet up and a cup of cha.
So might be still trying todo too much.

Thanks all, this site is great !!!!!
