This is the first time I visit India. I look for some package tours from Divino India Memoirz and Grand Travel Planner. Does anyone have any experiences with any of these tour companies before? Can they be trusted?

They ask me to pay some amount in advance and in cash as soon as I arrive in India. I'll pay the advance with my credit card (if things go wrong, I still can do the claim process). The cash they asking me is about $900. Is it safe to give this to them before the tour start? I heard a lot about the scam and fraud in India, so I'm a bit worry.

Payment for travel services

It is very common for a travel supplier to take a deposit by credit card (to guarantee your arrival), then for you to pay the rest in cash upon arrival.

They are probably trying to save you the 3% to 5% the bank charges them to use credit card services. You could offer to pay for the rest of the tour by credit card upon arrival but don't be surprised if they want to tack on the credit card service charge.

Journey far.....
Walk in Peace.
