The overnight train that vonkla mentioned earlier leaves Agra at 18:00. If you are not able to catch that train, you can go to Bharatpur to catch the one that I mentioned.

The Mewar Express leaves from Bharatpur Junction which is about 51 kms from Agra.

If you want to leave from Agra, you'll need to take the train metioned by vonkla above. That one leaves Agra at 6:00 p.m. and arrives Udaipur at 6:35 a.m. following morning. Can you make that train?

This one will be a better option as we will at Agra on that day. Don't want to drive another 51km to take the train from Bharatpur...Thanks..

I assume that your wife and daughter won't attend the conference.
They can have a nice day by hiring a car and visit the Keoladeo bird sanctuary near Bharatpur.
Another day can be spend in this rescue center near Agra.

Hi Pani Puri

I just got approval for some extra days towards my India trip. If I want to include Jaisalmer to my trip...what will be a better way to reach there. Our final destination will be Delhi after travelling these sites. I was thinking ...Agra..Udaipur...Jodhpur...J aisalmer....Delhi...
Please advise .

Thanks.

Congratulations with the extra days.
Your trip idea is perfect, from Jaisalmer to Delhi you can take a plane or an overnight train.

Very nice! You'll have a wonderful time. Yes, your itinerary is perfect. In between Jodhpur and Jaislamer make a stop in Osian for both Hindu and Jain temples if you can.

In Jaislamer we stayed at Hotel Royal Haveli (http://www.royalhavelijaisalmer.com/). We loved it...another very good rooftop restaurant with views of Jaisalmer Fort. Nice location - outside of the hustle bustle but within walking distance of the Fort. They were very helpful in arranging an amazing camel trip with dinner in the desert, which was obviously a highlight for my daughter (and us!). We stopped in the "ghost town" of Kuldhara on the way out.

Hi Pani Puri

Need some help. We have booked hotels as per your recommendation. Now, while in Udaipur, do I need to book a car with a driver to visit various touristic sites over there for two days and also to drive to Jodhpur via Ranakpur and Kumbhalgarh. To clarify this, do I need to contact the car rentals with a driver now or I can do it while I will be there ?

You can do it while you are there. If you booked Jaiwana Haveli the brothers have information and costs posted in the reception/lobby. That is pretty much how it is anywhere in India. Not necessary to book in advance.
