So I am on the http://www.irctc.co.in website trying to book a ticket from New Delhi to Agra to see the Taj Mahal,

I am getting the following options of stations, so not sure which one to pick. Can you please help?

New Delhi (NDLS)
New Delhi CPCBR (NDCR)

Agra CANNT (AGC)
Agra city (AGA)
Agra Fort (AF)

Hi, try NDLS to AGC, will throw up a lot of trains for you.

You have options like the Bhopal Shatabdi or the Taj Express (the latter leaves from Hazrat Nizammudin Railway Station).

Ok I am getting this error message when I input what you said:

Station is not in ISL of this train.

What does that mean?

What class?

Hazrat Nizammudin is in South Delhi, about 6kms south of New Delhi station.

Yes Hazrat Nizammudin is located in South Delhi. Use erail.in for a better interface to see trains between two stations and respective schedules and coaches available for your intended date of travel.

Best to opt for the Bhopal Shatabdi from New Delhi...
They'll serve you breakfast...
Saves you the hassle early in the morning...
And you get a couple of more hours in Agra too...!

Its the fastest train in India at the moment...
Takes less than 2 hours from New Delhi to Agra, all stops included...

On the return leg, Taj Express can also be considered, especially if you are spending the night in Agra, and possibly combining your trip with a day trip to Fatehpur Sikri the next day... (Well, thatz what I always recommend...!)

Cheers...!
