I'm planning 2 weeks trip to India now at the last week of april till middle of may
I will arrive in Mumbai and then want to travel to Kerala. What's the best way to go there?
How far is to go from Goa for example to Kerala, or its' more convenient to go to Kerala directly from Mumbai?
Will it be too hot there at the end of april?
Thank you in advance

You could go directly to Kerala or even go via Goa which is worth visiting anyway either first or on your way back to Mumbai for your flight back home. Both are beautiful places with lovely beaches and the atmosphere is great too. I am sure you will enjoy both of them on your visit here, though it may be a bit hot (about 32 to 36 degrees Celsius) for you when you come in from a cold climate like Russia but then that's what you are here for, right?!!!

Cheers,
Aadil.

In the 'Train Information' link (below) you will find details of trains between Mumbai and Goa, Goa and Southern Kerala, and Mumbai and Southern Kerala.

In Goa it will be too hot this time, I think that route to Kerala directly is more nice (although it will be rather hot and humid as well).
Yes, in Russia it was extremely cold winter , last year I managed to avoid it ,spent all winter in India. In april it will be rather warm here in Russia,so this plan isn't connected with the change of climate, just wish to see south India, maybe Tamilnadu also.

ya kanyakumari is a nice place too, the southern most tip of india, where u can see the wild indianocean and the seas merge!! u get to see the sunset and the sunrise!! its quite nearby totrivandrum, but wud take u aleat 4 hrs to go frm varkala to trivandrum and then to kanyakumari, take the train, wil be less tedious, frm there u can get to coimbatore(base for ooty) easily(since u are now in the state of tamilnadu), but pretty far!!
