hey people!

I have been compling info from various posts on this forum to build up our 15 day motorcyclin trip..( 2 or 3 bikers on Bullet and CBZ). i still couldnt find some info on some parts of the trip so would appericate any help and info on those places and i have pasted info from other people's post so hope they dont mind

Day 1 ( tentive date sept 5)
Ambala Manali ( 355 KM )

Day 2
Manali ( Alt 2080 m)

Day 3
Manali Darcha (146 KM, Alt 3344)

Day 4
Darcha Pang (154 KM, Alt 4500)
Info pasted from IM user's post
If you have a good sleeping bag you can also spend the night in one of those tent restaurants. The tent restaurants are basically parachutes that are used by the army to drop ration. A small stone base is constructed and then the place is covered by this parachute making it a small home for the business people

Day 5
Pang Leh (178 KM, Alt 3561)

Day 6
Leh

Day 7
Leh Khardung la (37 KM, Alt 5327) ( Can be merged with Day 8)
Road linking the Indian town of Leh with the high-altitude military outpost on the Siachen Glacier at an altitude of 5,401 m/17,730 ft

Day 8
Leh Nubura Valley Leh ( 250 KM )
Info pasted from IM user's post

Leh to Khardung La - 50km (approx), Khardung La to Hunder - 80km (approx), & back to Leh.

Double humped camels in Diskit won over the hot spring of Panamik. Wrong choice. There are a total of four sad looking undernourished camels waiting to be pictured by all tourists making a 120 km trip just to see them. The landscape is just as spectacular as the rest of Ladakh, nothing out of the ordinary except... At one point you come across nature's freak. There is desert, not just barren rock face, but actual sand (stone chips mixed with river silt) just beside the streatch of sand runs the river Shyok?? on the other bank is green pasture ground, beyong wich are rock faced mountains capped with snow. So in one frame, you have it all, sand dunes, river, grassland, and snow peaked mounains. Amazing. Don't forget to take pictues at Khardungla. And buy keychains and penstands with "highest motorable road in the world" writen on them for all family and friends.

Day 9
Leh - Pong gong
Info pasted from IM user's post

Leh to Thikse - 19km, Thikse to Karu - 17km, Karu to Pangong - 100km (approx)

pngong has been much talked about and all of it is true. It is beautiful. endless aquamarine in the middle of a golden mounain desert. Spectacuar. Only the "endless" bit doesn't really hit you. You just know that it so bloody long and goes into China, you can even see Chinese peaks from there, but the enormity of it doesn't hit you. It could have been a reservoir and you wouldn't have known the difference. But all said, stunning.

Day 10

Day 11

Kaksar - Shimla . Kaksar is in Kargil district under Drass Block. Are you talking about Srinagar - Kargil - Lah route ? If it is then why are you going to Shimla ? And where is this place called "Gaya" ? Are you sure about the name of the place.
These link may help you
