Hi guys,
I need your advice on Kashmir.
This forum is helping a lot in planning my trips. Thanks Guys!

I am planning for a trip to Srinagar and Kashmir between Feb 5 to Feb 12.
Few travel agents suggested Sonmarg (agents based in Kashmir) and few said that Sonamarg (agents working from Delhi) will be closed during that period. I could not judge who is correct. Please suggest me.

I want to know about the winter Chill during my trip (I am going with parents). My main motto is to make my parents experince the fresh snow. Can one withstand the chill during these days.

My stay will be in super deluxe houseboats (as said by agent) in Srinagar and Hotel Heavan Retreat in Gulmarg (3 Star said by agent).
Are these have good heating facilites?

Suggest me better time if Feb is not a good time.

Guys! Need your advice

Thanks
Kaarthiik

If you want to experience snow you must visit during winter. Gulmarg will be better choice than Sonmarg.

Sonmarg is very nice, Gulmarg also,...February is a good time, and the roads are open the whole Year, if you come from Jammu and not from Manali\Leh but you also can fly from Delhi to Srinagar, and staying on a housebooot is very beautiful, specially if you take the dal Lake, it is much more quiet, but than you are a little bit out of the city.
