Well,
Now a days you are going to have crowd at Sikim at most of the times except the monsoon.

The resorts you mention are absolutely fine for Honeymoon.

Darjeeling happens to be my favurite place. But for honeymoon couple I shall opine not to include it.

As strike has become a regular phenomenon as a part of Gorkhaland demond no body predict the situation there. And I am pretty sure no body wants to get stuck in between particularly on Honeymoon trip.

Better to stay at some other parts at Sikim.

I have visited Sikim 9 times and from my experience it is very difficult predicting the road condition en-route to Nathu La. It all depends on the amount of snowfall going to be his year. Having said that, Nathu La being at the China border, the road head is very well maintained for Army Vehicle. So, keep your finger crossed....and have a secondary plan as well in case it remains closed.

River rafting is a good adventure and during winter the water level at both Tista & Rangit drops enormously. So if it is safe you can opt for that.

As I've been on the same trip from the same operator for my honeymoon first week of march this year, i can confidently say its a great package, Sikkim is great that time of year and the real rush of tourists starts from mid march so you don't have to worry about too much crowd Mine was a 10 day trip including lachung, pelling and Darjeeling. Cox and king's service was great, the hotels were great specially Cedar Inn in Darjeeling. Do try to add lachung in your itinerary as yumtang valley is great that time of year. attached below are some of the 900 photos i took out there
