Hello,

I'm planning for a trip towards the end of December or probably at beginning of January. So just wanted to know which are the best possible places to visit around (in India)? I am basically from Raipur (Chhattisgarh). I have been to whole of Uttarakhand, Darjeeling, South-Western states and most of the places in Maharashtra, Gujarat and MP.

I'm with a group of 4 people (all males )

So please advice me a suitable place to visit ?

Initially we were planing to visit Corbet >> Amritsar >> Leh. But I guess it would be not good for us to visit Leh in this season.

Can someone suggest any good trip ?? ( We can travel any where in India if something is really worth watching and admiring. )

hi satya,

You can visit Himachal+Punjab(Manali, Shimla, Kullu, Manikaran, Amritsar,Wagah Border,Chandigarh, Haveli etc.)..There are so many places to visit in these two states. First decide the days of travel and then cut short or add up destinations accordingly. Rajasthan and Goa can be another two good options but it depends on what you really like- Hills and Snow, desert or beaches !!

Leh route is closed. However, I read a news online some couple of days back about ongoing talks between Himachal Govt. and BRO to clear the snow and make road accessible. But it will be closed in Dec.-Jan again. Same story with Srinagar-Leh route.

Feel free to ask any furthur questions..

Well, Kashmir is a good option too. You can visit Srinagar, Jammu, Gulmarg, Pahalgham, Sonmarg,VaishnoDevi, Patnitop etc. I am not sure if Skiing courses still run in Patnitop. In terms of weather conditions, Himachal and Kashmir will be same, sub zero temperatures during nights and you can find plenty of snow in both states

P.S.- But if you ask me, I will still recommend Himachal+Punjab.
