We'll be traveling around Rajasthan before heading north.

Below is the Rajasthan route I'm thinking of taking:

* Jaipur (been here for months before...this is our starting/ending point for this part of the trip)
* Bundi
* Chittorgarh
* Udaipur (been here for a month before, so no need to stay a long time)
* Mount Abu
* Jodhpur
* Jaisalmer
* Bikaner
* Pushkar

I would love suggestions for the following:

* how long to stay in each place,

* places it's best to stay overnight

* if I've missed any place along the way, and

* suggestions on car/driver for the entire trip, combo car/driver for part of the trip and train for other, train for entire trip (if possible)? I can't take a bus because I get sick on buses. :-( Also, if anyone has an idea on the cost of a car/driver for this kind of trip (estimate is fine), that would be great!

We don't want to be rushed, but also don't want to spend our normal extended stay in each place for this particular trip.

Thanks for any advice!

In another thread you mention as travel time and March - April. It will geting hot at that time.

In Chittorgarh has just the magnificent fort, so one day. For the other places three days is enough.
Unless you want to see the rat temple, skip Bikaner.

In Jodhpur we liked Durag Niwas, the organize a good safari, see our trip report

South of Kota the cities of Jhalawar and Jhalrapatan are worth to visit.

The combination of staying several days in one place and take a car/driver for the whole trip is not good unless you take the car daily for excursions.
