Hello,

To me, 2 days is not enough to travel and enjoy Goa. For the adults spending time in a car is okay but I know for a infant it's not easy. They can't sleep or sit properly. I have seen this with my own daughter. However, if you still want to cover it in 2 days then http://goatourismtravels.com/things-...s-trip-to-goa/

On Day 4, go to a good restaurant and enjoy the sea food.

Regards,
Aneek
Darjeeling, Kuari Pass Winter trek, Tawang-Dirang-Bomdila

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.

Restructuting:

Day 1 - Reach Goa and just rest/relax.
Day 2- Day tour (Private cab) North Goa
Day 3- Seafood, Shacks and Stroll (Mainly a rest day door the Baby)
Day 4- Day Tour (Private cab) South Goa
Day 5- Return to Delhi

Also will a tourist bus be better or Private cab, i was thinking cab because we can stop or go slow or even cut short if required basis the Baby's condition

What say ?

Do you drive a 4 wheeler? If yes, get a rental. Much cheaper than a private cab. And then use Google Maps.

Talking

Further updated:

Day 1 (Calangute stay) - Reach Goa, Beach time Fish time

Day 2 (Calangute stay) -
- Beach visit
- Fort Aguada
- Chapora Fort
- Local markets

Day 3 - Colva beach area for stay.
- Visit Lady of Immaculate Conception and Basilica of Bom Jesus
- Stroll the beach

Day 4 -
- Parasailing, Jetski etc.
- Arvalem Waterfall and Caves or Tambdi Surla Mahadeva Temple, as time & baby permits

Day 5 - Return flight

Since will be with a baby, not much of nightlife will be possible. Probably won't be able to go Doodhsagar this time as travel time is very long.
Also what would one suggest, self drive car or hire a cab. Are the roads very hilly ? Please add/suggest locations/changes.

Could you let us know the arrival time and the departure time of your flights - to and from Goa?

I assume we have only 3 complete days at our disposal.
That should rule out going to both parts of Goa - so it is either North or South.

Since Calungute is base for 1st two days - North Goa is where we focus.

Note - Jet ski or parasailing is not available in Miramar. So you either do it in Calangute/Baga/Sinquerim on Day 2 or else plan Colva and do it in South Goa.

Skip plans for waterfalls, as February the water will be less. Also Tamdi Surla is deep within the forest, takes almost 3 hours to go and come - so rethink on it. Just a temple (a good one, but still) - in a short trip can be skipped.

Do let know the timings of flights, will try and see what can fit where.

Thank you for replying. Flight to Goa departs at 12:05 from Delhi (probably will reach around 3) and from Goa to Delhi departs at 16:35 on day 5.
Yes I'll stay in Colva area, last 2/3 days.. have updated the above itinerary. Will leave calangute on day 3, probably around 11 after checkout, so basically 2 nights Calangute and 2 nights Colva..

And how would you be moving around? Rented car or a hired cab? Cab on day basis or for entire trip?

Frankly i am not sure. I do drive back home in Delhi but haven't driven outside anywhere. Also what will be important is the kid's comfort.. so not sure what would be better.

Actually self drive car is a good - my experience, but then I knew the roads and more importantly the local language, which helped where I didn't know the roads!

Anyways, I think you could take a call at that as you get closer to the actual trip.

So day 1 - Check in in hotel by 5 pm. Stroll on beach, food at Souza Lobo or at Britto, Baga. You could check for a sunset dolphin ride at the beach.

Day 2 - Start of to Chapora fort, Vagator Beach, Anjuna Beach - back to hotel for a change if clothes wet and then Aguada fort for visit and sunset.

Day 3 - Old Goa, Mangueshi temple, Spice plantation (if interested), Big foot museum and old portuguese home. You may consider tambdi surla here if you want to go - closer from Mangueshi temple/ Ponda spice plantation. Stay in south goa.

Day 4 - Stay at Varca or Benaulim or Majorda rather than Colva - less crowd and way better beach experience.
Water sports and enjoy the beach.

Day 5 - More beach and flight back.

Option for day 4 - a day visit to Palolem beach, lunch at Agonda, sunset at Cabo de Rama and back to hotel.
then Day 5 - water sports in morning 10 - 12 or 1 o Clock and then flight back.

The roads are nice on the highways and you will enjoy the drive to Palolem.

Rough guide - you can make changes. I have not mentioned Terekhol fort as it is further away and you can very well enjoy things closer, considering a 1 year kid as company.

Goa itinerary request Family and Kid 1yr

Thanks for the detailed itinerary. Appreciate it. I am bit confused about the booking. As i will be traveling in feb next year which is like 6 months from now, should i book hotel now ? I was going through tripadvisor mmt and agoda and amazigly found some good hotels already booked for feb. This is confusing.. generally one books one or two months ahead.
