Finale itinerary -phew!

Hi guys


With help from indiamike and lots of research, tears and compromises all round we have now decided on the following itinerary. So thank you to everyone who helped us, and any comments views welcome (but not changing a thing!!!!!).

23 nights February:

Delhi - 3 nights - fly Varanasi
Varanasi - 3 nights - fly mumbia
Mumbia - 2 nights - day train to south goa
Palolem - 4 nights - train to hampi
Hampi - 4 nights - (1)overnight train to bangalore - fly to Kochi
Backwaters homestay - 4 nights
Kovalam - 2 nights and then fly home from Trivandrum for a well earned rest

I suppose there is a good reason to stay two days in Mumbai, else I would try to go directly from Varanasi to Goa- even if transitting through Mumbai, and use the two days in Kerala.

Thanks for comments. Have booked trains, however wish we had booked even sooner as did not get our first choice. The reason for 2 nights in Mumbia is because it will be our first Indian train journey and want to get the day train to Goa, which meant at least one night in mumbia so decided to do two and stay near CST and spend day sightseeing.
