Ten places over .... how many days? 21? 30? It's still a bit tight, especially what could be a very long trip between Kochi to Pondicherry and then to Delhi.

A couple hours from Pondi to Chenni and then a train to Delhi is minimum 30 hours (probably more) ... that's a lot of train and bus time.

What if you stayed in the North: Delhi, Agra, Bharatpur to see the birds, a couple stops in Rajasthan, then to Lucknow, Kolkata, then train to Mumbai and fly out from there? On your NEXT TRIP you can do the south!

If I were following this route, how long would you suggest I stay in each place and how much time would you allow for travel? My schedule is pretty flexible at this point. I'm thinking I will forget about the Chennai to Delhi leg and fly directly out of Chennai. Also, domestic flight from Udaipur to Mumbai. So it would look like this:
  • Delhi
  • Agra
  • Jaipur
  • Jodhpur
  • Udaipur
  • Mumbai
  • Goa
  • Kochi
  • Puducherry
  • Chennai
